Welcome to CISSP Certification Preparation Guidelines section at my blog!

Here I will walk you through some of the quick tips and guidelines, which you can follow to pass your CISSP Certification exam in first attempt!

Note: All the information provided here, will provide an overview to the community for the education and training purpose ONLY, I will not provide any guidance or information related to CISSP Exam (questions, materials and tricks), and will not disclose any confidential information about the CISSP Certification, which is strictly against the CISSP and ISC2 Code of Ethics.

 Let me share first some of the information about my experience with CISSP Certification, I scheduled my CISSP Exam Test for December, 2011 on Sep, 30^th, 2011, but I started my preparation on 17^th of Sep, 2011, with one of my fellow friend, who also joined me for the preparation of CISSP exam, and we took almost two and half months to prepare for it, and I managed to pass the exam in the first attempt.

Below is the guidelines, which I may recommend to prepare for CISSP Exam:

Along with all above, I would strongly recommend to prepare your short-notes (cliff-notes), while you read and prepare for your CISSP Exam.

At last I would like to put some of the suggestions, which you can keep in your mind, while sitting in the testing center:

• CISSP exam is an IT Governance and Information Systems Security Management exam, so while being a perfect Geek / Technologist, you also have to groom, managerial skills, means your prospective towards exam should be two sided, not only be narrow-minded towards technology.
• Don’t follow in dumps for preparing for this exam, you can have a look to see how the questions look like, but trust me, you will not get anything out of this, until you don’t have a good picture of the various security principles and models.
• Try to read books while nobody is around you, so you can really absorb the concepts, and try to train yourself with the trends and concepts, so you will have the idea that how security implements and for what purpose.
• I studied only after I booked my exam, and which gave me internal motivation and strength to prepare for your exam with some deadlines to meet, so in the same I would suggest you guys, to make sure that you booked your exam first, and then start preparing for it.
